Owner & Founder
Jason Hustler
Growing up on the family farm, Jason learned the value and importance of hard work. He watched his Father care for chickens, cattle and sheep, and deliver eggs to customers’ homes. Jason grew up knowing what hard work was, and at around 7 years old he started helping his Dad with farm tasks.
It was also during his childhood on the farm that he started building things with whatever wood he could find. At age 12 he built a 5’ x 9’ play fort for him and his two brothers, and an inventive salt spreader to attach to his brother’s tricycle to salt the laneway in winter.
Jason never lost this love for building things, and continued taking shop classes throughout high school. He went on to complete the Apprenticeship program in Cabinetmaking at Conestoga College where he honed his skills, excelled in his classes, and acquired his Red Seal. It was in 2008 that Jason decided to start his own cabinetmaking business, Hustler Design House.
He brings his life-long love for woodworking, and his many years of experience, to every project.

“You start with a blank canvas, so to speak. You start with plain pieces of wood and you can make amazing things out of it,” Jason said while reflecting on why he enjoys woodworking.
Whether it is a bathroom vanity, closet, or custom kitchen, Jason ensures every project is crafted and installed with high quality standards.
“We are proud of the high quality and craftsmanship of every project we build,” says Jason, “I enjoy seeing the end product of our hard work. It is one of the most rewarding things to see a project through from the initial designs to the finished product. Even though I am building projects for other people, I build each one with the same level of quality I would expect for my own home. I really enjoy my work and get a lot of satisfaction from it.”
Hustler Design House is proudly in its 18th year of business.

How to Work Together
1. Discovery & Consultation
We start with an initial meeting to discuss your project, design goals, wish list, must haves, and the overall style you want to achieve. During this stage, rough measurements are also taken to better understand the space.
2. Design & Preliminary Pricing
Based on our consultation, we create a basic layout and provide preliminary pricing for the project. This helps you visualize the direction of the design and ensure it aligns with your vision and budget.
3. Detailed Design & Final Approval
Once you are ready to move forward, a design deposit is collected and we begin developing the detailed design. Revisions are made collaboratively until every detail is finalized and approved for sign off.
